Best projects of 2022 with our Valcucine kitchens

As the end of the year approaches, we wanted to celebrate all the that feature our Valcucine kitchens.

Starting with international projects such as the Cherry Orchard residential complex in Moscow, the rational minimalism in São Paulo, Brazil, till our Italian peninsula with the project located in the famous Bosco Verticale in Milan and a renovated villa in Sicily.

The Cherry Orchard residential complex consisting of eight residential buildings in Russia, part of a major urban redevelopment project by the English architectural firm John McAslan + Partners is located in the area of the legendary Mosfilm film studios, situated in one of Moscow's most prestigious residential areas.

The Genius Loci and Artematica kitchens were chosen by interior designer Martins Hermansons of the Fortyfour studio working with one of our local partners Krassky for their timeless design, , premium materials and distinctly features.

Created in the best traditions of modern European , with natural stone façades and large windows overlooking the forest and river, Cherry Orchard sets new standards for housing and in Moscow. Set in a prestigious and quiet residential area, the eco-village boasts five hectares of landscaped grounds, hundreds of acres of greenery, excellent transport accessibility and all the amenities of contemporary living. All this will make you feel as much in the centre of Moscow as in a country house.

Genius Loci island kitchen in warm matt black Vitrum with inclined copper drawer

Another extraordinary project features Genius Loci in a rustic house in the bucolic setting of the Italian Dolomites, a few kilometres from Feltre by L'Ambiente.

Just as in the old country houses, the material effect plays a key role: the refined contrast between stone and wood is also used in the kitchen, combining glass and copper in a balanced mix with timeless charm.
The space is developed around a central island made entirely of glass, overlooking the patio and the surrounding garden. The perfect continuity of finish between base, top and sides defines a pure volume whose surface is crossed by a band of inclined drawers in precious metal.

Thanks to a sensitive and attentive design approach, the Genius Loci kitchen fits harmoniously into an environment steeped in history, a rustic country house where every detail, from the wooden furniture to the objects of memory, recalls a typically Italian history and know-how.

Among others noteworthy projects we underline the rational elegance of the private villa in the Lago Azul Residential and Golf Club context, designed by the architecture studio F:POLES in collaboration with our partner Habitat Naturale, in Araçoiaba da Serra, in the state of São Paulo in Brazil.

A distinctive feature of the project realised by the F:POLES architecture studio is the material research.
Chosen in the opaque shades of Chocolate and Cement, glass, Valcucine's iconic material, infuses warmth and softness into the environment. The search for a material effect is also expressed through the use of stone.

Genius Loci (design by Gabriele Centazzo) in its island composition in Cardoso stone

Remaining in international territory, we recall our partner Limo Design‘s project with the Waltz of Life flat, winner of the Gold MUSE Design Award. Drawing inspiration from the waltz and the expressed oriental concept of the circle, Limo Design adapted the design to the demands of the client-owner who had returned to Taipei (Taiwan) after many years living abroad.

The Genius Loci dining table and kitchen island in Pietra del Cardoso connect the different areas of the communal space and, through the light strips and the raised ceiling, render the various scenarios of daily life during the day.

The elegant smoky effect colours, combined with the palette of soft blues, envelop the room, conveying a sense of calm and tranquillity. Dark wood tones provide fluidity, adding dynamism to the spaces.

Genius Loci kitchen with drawers in matt white glass and Cardoso stone

Genius Loci is the protagonist also in the amazing project of our partner in South Africa, Valcucine Cape Town, in collaboration with Malan Vorster Architecture Interior Design, a Cape Town-based architecture practice with a strong focus on design that provides an integrated professional service encompassing master planning, architecture, interior architecture, construction supervision and .

The Genius Loci with its clean lines, timeless aesthetic and hand-crafted workmanship was first choice to reflect the sophistication and refinement of the home's existing interior, whilst serving as centre stage for the home owners who love to entertain.

Genius Loci matt Kamut glass finish with special Air Logica element and Cardoso stone under-top drawer

Our also inspired the project curated by Modularity Home in Quezon City, the largest city in the metropolitan area of Manila, Philippines.

The choice of the kitchen went to Genius Loci (design by Gabriele Centazzo) which refers to a tradition linked to conviviality and the cult of beauty.

A distinctive element is the under-top drawer, a “secret” space inspired by the ancient secretaires. An ingenious result made possible by the dematerialisation of the top, the drawer is a functional element but also a precious detail that runs through the materiality of the surfaces. In this project, it is proposed in the sloping version in Cardoso Stone, in refined contrast with the glass that characterises the kitchen doors and worktop, for an impactful result, like a cut on a canvas.

Riciclantica with New Logica System insert, island with attached hob made from Linea top

Moving on to Tel Aviv in Israel, the architect Tali Laub Richter has designed a six-storey urban villa instead, managing to intelligently combine classicism and comfort with the urban demands of the city without creating an environment detached from the landscape. For the owners, the choice of kitchen fell on the efficiency and innovation that characterise Riciclantica, together with New Logica System, specially designed to offer maximum functionality and ergonomics in the kitchen. Its tilting upper doors and downward sliding doors open and close with just the strength of a finger to reveal and conceal all the equipment on the back panel if necessary.

Artematica in glossy glass Vitrum finish Cloud White

At national level Valcucine distinguished itself in the project of a villa in Catania, starring Artematica a design kitchen capable of expressing great formal cleanliness without neglecting the functional aspect.

The composition is defined by pure volumes in a refined mix of materials that dialogue with each other, in line with the principle of the harmony of diversity that has always inspired us. Ergonomics and functionality are amplified by the Air Logica system.

Finally, we complete our journey with a project located in the capital of Italian fashion and style: Milan.

Artematica in earth-white matt Vitrum glass finish

Material research, customisation and attention to detail are values that characterise the private residence designed by architect Egidio Panzera at the Bosco Verticale in Milan, where the skilful use of materials weaves a dialogue between interior and exterior to create a domestic oasis in the heart of the metropolis.

To furnish the kitchen space, the architect used our collaboration with the Artematica linear composition made entirely of glass, a precious, resistant and sustainable material. The choice of a matt finish and a soft colour palette, played on earthy tones and white, creates a soft, muffled atmosphere in harmony with the other rooms in the house.

The game of “hiding and revealing”, a constant of the Egidio Panzera studio, is reflected in the choice of placing the kitchen in a niche and completing it with the New Logica System special element.
