Today is Earth Day, take action for the planet

Today, April 22, 2010, we celebrate Earth Day, a festival that is held in spring in the northern hemisphere, in autumn in the southern one. 40 years have passed since April 22, 1970, when twenty million Americans answering the call of Senator Gaylord Nelson first participated in a demonstration in defense of our planet and its resources. Born as university movement, over time, Earth Day has become an educational and informative event. Climate change is the greatest challenge of our time, but also represents the greatest opportunità to build a sustainable economy, now and in the future. Earth Day 2010 can be a turning point to advance climate policy, energy efficiency, renewable energy and green jobs.
